Decluttering Checklist

Everyone is familiar with spring cleaning, but there is such a thing as cleaning any time of the year to declutter your home. Did you know that deep cleaning or decluttering your house gives you endorphins and refreshes your living spaces? Sure does. Here are some things in your home to declutter this month. Pick a few things a day or week. While you are decluttering, don’t forget the trash and donate pile. What is old to you may be new to someone else. 

  • Bills/papers to recycle, shred, or file 
  • Excess throw blankets
  • Figurines or vases you no longer like 
  • Torn towels & sheets
  • Cleaning/household supplies you don’t use 
  • Clothes and shoes people no longer want/need
  • Expired or stale food
  • Food you can donate (still good)
  • Expired spices
  • Excess plastic bags
  • Old undergarments & socks
  • Handbags you don’t use
  • Thin out your t-shirt collection
  • Toys the kids don’t like/outgrown 
  • Expired medications
